iOS 15 was released on Monday, September 20. All persons using iPhone 6S or later are eligible for the update with certain restrictions.
Unless you have an iPhone XS or newer, the FaceTime Portrait mode, and augmented reality in Maps features will not work.
Apple’s iOS 15 brings audio and video enhancements to FaceTime, including spatial audio and Portrait mode. Shared with You resurfaces the articles, photos and other shared content from your Messages conversations in the corresponding app.
The new and improved Apple features include:
Features of Apple’s iOS 15
1. SharePlay
During the fall, SharePlay feature will be activated to allow users to stream TV and movies or listen to music together while on FaceTime.
2. Facetime improvement
FaceTime may be accessed using a web browser by anyone with a Windows or Android phone.
3. Portrait mode for Facetime
FaceTime’s “Portrait mode” application for video calls is another new feature.
4. Focus feature
Depending on the activity you’re doing, such as work, working out, or driving, the amount of possible distractions can be reduced simply by restricting the number of alerts you receive.
Notifications have been redesigned and a new notification summary delivers a collection of notifications so you can catch up in your own time.
5. 3D maps view
With a three-dimensional vision of the globe, Apple Maps in iOS 15 will become more dynamic. Take, for example, the Golden Gate Bridge. What was originally a drab overhead picture has been given more depth. Neighborhoods, structures, and landmarks have all undergone renovations. When switched to night-time mode, this presentation will additionally incorporate a moonlight glow.

6. AR Walking
AR stands for Augmented Reality. Through Apple’s augmented reality, maps can also be utilized to guide you when you’re lost. Simply use your phone to scan your surroundings, and this feature will assist you in getting back on track to your goal.
7. Neat stack photos in iMessage
Photos sent via iMessage will now be shown in a tidy stack. These photographs can be seen in a grid style by swiping through them or tapping them.
Another component that will be changed is the weather app: redesign, new privacy controls in Siri, Mail and more provide transparency and give you more control over your data.
Also, Live Text uses on-device intelligence to recognise text in photos across the entire system and on the web.
